Velma "Kitty" Norris

Velma “Kitty” Norris, age 81, of Wewahitchka, Florida, peacefully passed away at her residence on Thursday, May 12, 2022. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on May 29, 1940 to the late Charles Edward Musser and Marvel Christina Hegle. She attended nearby Holt High School. At the age of 15 her family moved to Florida. Velma then spent a good portion of her adult life in south Florida around the Lake Okeechobee area. She moved to Gulf County in 2007. She was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness for over sixty years and a member of the Port St. Joe congregation. Velma enjoyed riding around sightseeing and exploring new areas. She also loved researching her family genealogy, collecting antiques, and was a huge cat lover. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Norris; parents, Charles Edward Musser and Marvel Christina Hegle; twin sister, Thelma Irene Snider; brother, Charles Edward Musser, Jr.; and two half-sisters, Weltha Ann Shaw and Ruby Laurie Shaw. Velma is survived by her children, Kathryn Louise Condesa of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Karen Lynn Montana of Wewahitchka, Florida, Kimberly Lorraine Davila of Deerfield Beach, Florida, and Frederick William Naile III (Katine) of Douglasville, Georgia; grandchildren, Sonja Lynn Dean of Merritt Island, Florida, Renee Nicole Anderson of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Brittany Olivia Montana of Lafayette, Louisiana, Jason Lee Naile of Houston, Texas, Kennedy Scott Jones, Jr. of Conroe, Texas, Kenneth Aaron Smith of West Palm Beach, Florida, Victoria Faith Naile, Isabella Grace Naile, and Alexandra Hope Naile all of Douglasville, Georgia; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Michelle Thompson and Rylan Thomas Manger both of Conroe, Texas. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorialization will be by cremation. Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, FL.
