Vickie Doreen Scheffer

In great sadness, we must announce the passing of Vickie Doreen Scheffer of Port St. Joe, FL. She passed comfortably in her sleep at the age of 59 on the morning of August 8, 2023. She was born July 12, 1964, in Port St. Joe, FL. The middle child of Houston and La’Verne Ramsey. She had an older sibling Deanna Ramsey and younger brother Houston Ramsey Jr. Vickie was a loving wife and mother for 33 years.

She is survived by her husband Larry Wayne Scheffer, her three children, Shelby Scheffer, Julia Tanner, and Nickolas Scheffer, and her seven grandchildren, Sonja Turner, Briar Scheffer, Hunter Johnson, Georgia Turner, Colt Johnson, Willow Tanner, Gabriel Tanner. Family was Vickie’s pride and joy when it came to life. She looked forward to spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren; especially if it involved the beach. Mexico Beach being her absolute favorite where she would take long walks and share with her family everything, she could regarding the shells she would find. She would always state, “Only God could create something so pure and beautiful.” Her favorite shell being angel wings.

There will be no service held; for the family wishes to keep the arrangement private to give the family time to grieve.
