William "Bill" Ronald Deeson, born on March 11, 1939, in Bartow, Florida, passed away peacefully at home in Port St. Joe, Florida, on March 18, 2025, at the age of 86. Bill grew up in Lakeland, Florida, before spending most of his adult life in Gulf County, where he established a deep-rooted connection to the community.

Bill dedicated over 35 years of his professional life to St. Joe Papermill, culminating in his role as Wood Yard Supervisor before his well-earned retirement. 

In addition to his career, Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army, later joining the National Guard. This service is a testament to his character and dedication to the values of duty and sacrifice.

Outside of his professional and military pursuits, Bill was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed scuba diving, hunting, and fishing. He had a particular passion for searching for arrowheads and other artifacts, pursuits that showcased his curiosity and love for history.

Bill’s legacy continues through his five children, eleven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters and one brother, who will carry forward the cherished memories of their time together.

He was predeceased by his parents, David Ray Deeson and Nola Victoria Combee Deeson; his beloved wife, Marian Deeson; and one brother, Roger Deeson.

His memory will be honored and cherished by his loving family and friends.
