William Joseph Banks, age 63 passed away surrounded by his family at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Compassionate Care Center on Monday, January 8, 2024. He was born on May 6, 1960
He is proceeded in death by his parents William David Banks and Carrie June Henry Banks and his twin infant sons Joe and Joseph Banks.
He is survived by his two brothers David Banks of Chipley, Florida and Henry Banks (and Wife Dora) of Telogia, Florida. His sister April Banks Dalton (and husband Frankie) of Eastpoint, Florida. His ex-wife Annie Rebecca Banks of Eastpoint. His two sons William David Banks ll and Joshua Aaron Banks both of Eastpoint, Florida. His two daughters Amonda Renee Banks and April Lynn Banks Russell (and husband Chris) of Eastpoint, Florida; seven grandchildren, Morgan Malone, Stephen Malone Jr. Chloe Malone, Harmony Malone, Christopher Russell Jr., Sheyanne Russell and Cyrus Russell; three nephews, Christopher Nabors, Marcus Dalton and William Dalton; one niece, Angel Banks..
He served in the United States Army 1st Battalion of the 506 and was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell Kentucky. He was a proud United States Veteran and loved his family dearly.
Funeral services will be held at United Baptist Church in Eastpoint, Florida on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. Eastern Time with Pastor Scott Shiver officiating. Interment will follow at Eastpoint Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his father along with his mother and sons. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time.
