Wilma Faye Turner Wilson Tipton life long resident of Franklin County, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the age of 92. She was born on January 6, 1931 in Calhoun County, Alabama to the late William Chester Turner and Ola Mae Dempsey Turner. Wilma was a long time member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed attending and serving in the church. Wilma sold Avon makeup, shucked oysters, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John Charles Wilson and Robert Jerry Tipton; two children, Linda Wilson and Robert Allen Tipton; one brother, James Edward Turner; one daughter in law, Shirley M. Tipton; two sons in law, James Brannan and James Ward.
Wilma is survived by her children William Charles Wilson (Carolyn) of Apalachicola, Florida, Ronald O. Wilson of Apalachicola, Florida, Wanda Brannan of Carrabelle, Florida, James Terry Tipton Sr. of Apalachicola, and Deborah Ward of Carrabelle, Florida. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilma will be held at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Apalachicola, Florida with Pastor Susan Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time until the start of the funeral.
